I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this polarizing new release. It’s the only steel watch we got from the five pointed crown and it seems to be loved or hated. I personally believe this was an easy one to predict, as many did. They already had the hands and dials laying around from the all black gmt and the bezel is already being produced for the Guinness. What are your thoughts on the new flyer from Rolex?

Rolex is the Microsoft of watch brands
I’m going to hate on Rolex here for a minute, so be forewarned Rolex fans…..How many incremental changes can you make to sell basically the same thing again and again. I suppose changing a crown is a bold move in their world.
And that's why Rolex is so great imo

What bothers me is that it's got a nickname already, Bruce Wayne? I really dislike all these nicknames.
agreed... the nicknames are getting pretty silly and really only serving to help characterize what are otherwise characterless watches
I can understand certain Daytona having the 'Newman' association, but a 'Smurf' and 'Hulk' Submariner... c'mon

To me personally it’s indifferent not “disappointment”. Otherwise, business as usual at Rolex, one strong year, two weak years, but I’m sure there’s plenty demand for this model! Now the Platinum 1908, it’s something I wanna see…
The coolest thing about this watch is that you can get both the Jubilee and Oyster bracelets.
It’s available with either one from the factory and apparently you can order the other one.

I think the all black bezel with the green hand looked better…this with the BLNR GMT hand may have looked better, much better to me…with some blue writing…but I look at the pics and I’m like…eh…maybe better on person but I won’t be seeking it out…not on m...

The full black bezel is a classic look but not very interesting. For me the half grey bezel and green GMT hand give a nice bit of subtle interest. I’m sure it will look good in the metal. All the best, Jon
