It's not often that one stumbles upon so well-written and in-depth a critique of the brand represented on the particular Forum; and yet in a manner not a diatribe but as a good-natured attempt at pointing out to whomever will listen, what one long-time collector thinks is going right and going wrong. Well done!
I am pretty new to this Forum; and, although I would claim a pretty good knowledge of the history of Patek Philippe, in general terms, I am a babe in the woods when it comes to the many specific models an the changes they have undergone. But one thing jumps out at me and perhaps you, and the other posters, can address this: are the "problems" you see, in design, say, coincident with a change of body sitting in the Captain's chair? If so, what would this mean presently, and going forward?
