After reading all the posts to date, I find myself wondering from Patek's point of view.. haven't we produced what they wanted? More and interesting complications with larger cases, more steel watches than ever before, a collection so broad as to satisfy anyone with an interest in owning a Patek! If so, what is the problem?
I understand Patek is in the business of making watches and a profit. so is everyone who participates on this forum. In our own businesses, there are pressures brought to bear by taking advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. Thankfully, this forum and this post allows Patek to get a glimpse of their market with its concerns and wishes.

on most new watches. In general the whole world is swamped with a glut of watches. Too much capacity for the current demand. Older pieces that were produced in very low numbers will always be on the right side of the supply and demand equation.
