I can agree on zeroing in on these three releases.
I have to agree on the Aquanaut. Very cool looking but why make it larger. If same case size as 5164/5650 would have been a compelling piece. However I have to say I still prefer the 5980 personally....
With regards to the 5270P, no doubt gorgeous but how unfair to compare against your 5970P! Fully agree on proportions and symmetry being far superior on the 5970P. Now a 5970 with a salmon dials would have made the top of my list.... but black is cool enough
Now, the Nautilus. I am going to say it. I am not a fan. I find the subdials disrupt the waffle dial so essentially characteristic for a Nautilus. I much would have preferred the 5320 morphed itself into a Nautilus shell. Yes marginally thicker but infinitely cleaner to look at. The blue in the dial of course looks amazing and choice of material and execution otherwise is perfect. But I realize I am in the minority camp when it comes to my view on this piece.
So, for me if I was to get one piece it would be the Aquanaut chrono. However I am unsure I can find room for it between my 5980 and 5650...
A bit sad to not see a stainless Calatrava, but have no doubts this will be in the near future....
Thanks again for your report!!! That Aqua looks great on your wrist I think...
