My choice between those two............
Would be for the 5960P
The reason being that although the DS is a fantastic piece of craftmanship. I know that I would hardly ever use the DS complication.
Where as I would always use the Annual Calendar and occasionally the chronograph function.
Some members say that they don't worry about a watch having the date as they can always look at their mobile.
But not me, a watch needs to have the date.
Also its Patek 1st in house chrono movement.

There's no comparison
Best chronos and split-seconds chrono should be manual wound calibers, period. 5960P is automatic chrono, despite its novel originality from Patek, that never appeals to me. So between 5960P and Lange DS, definitely Lange DS. You should be comparing Lange...

Money & resale value aside, the question is which one do you like more?

I would easily choose the DS between this 2 models......
