I'm sure it'll sell well but I personally don't find the colour combination particularly attractive. Not that I can ever get my hands on this one, but this new one makes me appreciate my "traditional blue" 5711 even more!
Needless to say, this 5711/1A-018 will be a blast….and note that how huge of a blast will in part be decided this coming Saturday at Phillips NY, where one of these 170 specimens will be auctioned (lot 1T, whose proceeds will go to charity)👍 Thanks for br...

1) They say the 5711 is discontinued and will only be in production for this year!! OK was probably a bit naive of me thinking that they can still do a purple, red, yellow and a red one before the year is out; 2) 170 years is not auspicious in anyones cal...
Their job being to keep the CEO and CMO aware of upcoming anniversaries in multiples of 5 and 10 years. For example... "It's been 95 years since we launched the 'X' line of pilot's watches, time for another limited edition" or "next year will be 15 years ...
2014: Hmm, this 5712 and that 5726 don‘t look bad on my wrist, but they‘re not really my taste. 2018: Should I have bought one, when I had the possibilty? 2021: Thank god I didn‘t buy a Nautilus back then!
The only problem is as other members pointed out, that the reference 5711 is retired now. Is it appropriate to have it brought back to production ? Further, why does the 170th anniversary of Tiffany
But I just can’t get my head around the LVMH signature on the reverse side. To include this hidden in the 1 of 2021 is a step too far for my tastes. Congratulations to those who will receive it though, I hope they enjoy it thoroughly. LVMH on a Patek ….. ...
And please don't take it in a trivial (or even remotely financial) sense: I'm one of the few people on Earth who honestly and publicly stated earlier this year that I was NOT interested in the green -014 version (and that if offered, I would have happily ...
So the only plausible reason must be hype-creation. Never owned a Patek. Will never be offered this. Would not pay MSRP for it or wear it (or flip it) if I was offered. Just enjoying the honorary membership to the peanut gallery 🤣🤣🤣
I guess it comes with the territory of being the undisputed #1 top watch brand in people's mind, and I (sincerely!) enjoy everybody's viewpoint. As for the auction, however, let me point out that it IS for charity: Tiffany will devolve all of its sales pr...
And Rolex is obviously the best-known watch brand to the "general public," no doubt about it -- I can totally believe it is considered the main luxury brand by most people, and certainly for some good reasons
This seems more like a commonplace Richemont (IWC, Panerai, ALS, etc) marketing department move, especially at $52,000 for a very basic stainless steel timepiece with normal production movement. Wait, didn't PP say they'd never produce another... LOL!!! A...
Good thing LVMH got their name on it, they tend to sully everything they touch with cheap fanfare, ugly designs and limited editions. This is no different.
They said, "no problem" which was really exciting! I have to say, though, it was odd that they didn't ask for any of my information and said not call again, but that they would call me. I'm sitting here next to my phone, right on the edge of my seat.
I can understand why it was hard to resist. Not worth getting upset over though - As an enthusiast who is well below the price range of patek, releases like this serve as a fun, no consequence spectacle
Which is not necessarily good for my own finances and retirement prospects though, despite how much I notoriously LOVE the brand....because in the fictional world in which Patek EVER sold to a group and lost its independence, I can guarantee you my friend...
And who knows, with Elon's current fortune being estimated at OVER 300 billion and climbing, he could easily plop down 15 - 20 billion without blinking 🤣🙈🙊🙉 Imagine what happens why he starts mining asteroids with Space X and becomes the 1st TRILLONAIRE a...
And then there’s JayZ, Beyoncé each,Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and many other Producers and billionaires, all except me, lol… If you visit, I’ll still honor our dinner with or without me getting the Green or this Tiffany Blue, since you are such a nice guy. C...
The beauty of the blue and green dial 5711 is the ever changing color of the dial under varying light conditions. This Tiffany dial is more bling bling and better executed by the Rolex Oyster Perpetual with turquoise dial. This Tiffany 5711 is extreme pan...
Patek are only making 170 so IMO no reason to be angry that it cheapens the brand in some way. Thierry did hint in an interview with Hodinkee earlier in the year that there was another surprise coming - now we know what it was!!
It's interesting that Thierry have said that he doesn't want Patek to become a one-watch brand, like AP and others. But that's exactly what he is doing by putting out this 5711 for the Tiffany anniversary. He is creating more mania for their most popular ...
