I get more compliments on my.......
Omega Planet Ocean with the Orange bezel from non-watch people then I do on my Plat Journe. People see a Journe and their thinking hey just another Timex. When people in "the know" compliment me on my Journe, that excites me because then you can have an interesting discussion with them. That in itself makes me feel good about having this type of watch and makes me feel "arrived".

I am an owner of a 5980/1a and I have to agree with Zorro on all points. The way you intend to wear the watch will likely scratch up the bezel alot.
