Hi,
I share the common point. One of the advantages of a Patek Philippe watch is to be discreet, and let unknown for 99.9999% of the population.
I would wear a Patek Philippe because I don't want people to know that I'm arrived.
I sold my only Rolex because I don't want people to think that I'm arrived.
That's not hostility towards you, that's a reality.

I am an owner of a 5980/1a and I have to agree with Zorro on all points. The way you intend to wear the watch will likely scratch up the bezel alot.
