You’re not alone with your fascination of this model. I remember seeing it at the AD when it came out in red gold. Apart from the advanced research dep movement, the finishing with the brushed satin and the subdued Patek Logo (amazing you see it then you don’t-holograph’ish effect) makes this watch stand out. I like the G too but the R is king of this reference.

I also noticed the same misalignment of the minute hand to the marker on top of the 60-sec mark after setting it, takes a while for it to go off but oh well… Enjoy yours.

When this first came out in the WG version , I was very keen to get one . It took almost2 years after they released at Baselworld before it was available to the general public.
Not much demand from collectors but there were a few of use here on the forum who all got one. I thin kits is one of the best offerings from PP in recent history I love mine although I don't wear it as much as I should A few pics to add to the ones posted...
I heard there were issues in the beginning but finally got it resolved, as they always do.
