Appeal of the Aquanaut.
At one point, I did not like the look of the Aquanaut, but over the years it grew on me. When I had the opportunity to put one on I knew what I was going to do. I felt silly because I had been critical of it for a long time, but love is love.
I love steel sports watches from all brands that make great ones. I’ve just always been drawn to them based on my personality and lifestyle. I own or have owned a several Rolex Daytona, Sub, GMT, Tudor, AP RO, VC Overseas, Nautilus, Panerai, JLC, and a few more I’m likely forgetting. I say that to say this, if I had to get rid of them all for some reason, the Aquanaut would be one of the very last ones to go. It’s a great watch, and it’s popularity is totally justified in my opinion.
PP has done such a good job not delivering Nautilus anymore that now people are moving to the Aquanaut?
Has that been the game plan? Uplifting the Aquanaut also to a legend status? Looking at the second hand market it seems to be in the lift as well. Not as bizarre as the Nautilus, but let’s wait and see what will happen. ...

Broaden the interest in another model and rest the Nautilus. Only one big problem demand and supply of the Aquanaut has become a big mess.
I think patek are doing the right thing by not increasing supply of these models.

Aquanaut gets more wrist time
As someone with the 5711, 5167A and 5167R, I can tell you my Aquanauts get more wrist time than my Nautilus does. I guess it’s down to personal preference.

True watch lovers don’t crave for hyped models and hyped brands.

The prices at the offer are surreal, but they dont sale for this prices. For me, the price is what i see in front of me on the table, CASH.

And a PP is in no way comparable with a Rolex. I love my Daytona 116500 a lot but thats’s a completely different concept of a watch.
I don't see the value in an Aquanaut model to keep an eye on it. If will rise in price - is famously, will fall - so the and be.
For me personally, the best sports steel watch over $10,000 - Daytona. Sorry for the platitudes.

I find I wear mine all the time: despite having plenty of choice! I don’t know why I like it but I do. It has real charm. It gets to you... it should not attract a premium but I get why it does. I think it will become an icon.
