Okay, it’s not my first watch by luxury means, but it’s the first one which is widely known for being a luxury watch.
When I was getting into watches in early 2016, I already dumped a huge amount of money in a micro-brand watch… yes, I was still really green behind the ears, so I developed a love-hate-relationship to this watch over the time as I learned what I could've bought instead.
After I finished my apprenticeship recently, it was time to purchase a new watch for me.
Originally I wanted a Daytona first but then I realized I’m more like the type of person that doesn’t want to be a bandwagon – over the time I learned to appreciate models from almost every manufacturer and not just the usual suspects that holding value best. Actually, the Speedmaster is still mainstream but you may get the point.
My next gem will date back either from 1975, 1994 or 1996, depending on how my mood and money is.
Greetings,
Steven
