My grandmother always advised to dispose of one's disasters swiftly and quietly move on. That Resco can be ebayed and you could get a good diver/sports watch instead. A diver and a chrono, a good two watch combo while you ponder your collecting strategy. In the meantime, wear the daylights out of that Speedie.

Wise words from your grandmother. At the moment, I will probably keep it and wait for a Fifty Fathoms in 40mm and then I'm going to sell it. But hell yes, I will wear the hell out of my Speedy, such a versatile watch.

How did you find about Resco and why did you wanted it and ended up buying one? I wouldn't care too much in the end, looking at value or not. You let your heart decide. Can't be bad.
Jim Caviezel wore it in Person of Interest – my favorite TV series.
I noticed this watch and found it on watchesinmovies – I really liked it (and as you said I let my heart decide), I still do sometimes. I don't care about value at all, it's more that it has no reasonable image and not a very innovative design.
Congrats, btw you can add a lot more luxury watches but over time you will realize how special the Speedmaster is.
And strap is better than bracelet on this one.

The first watch worn on the moon !!! What’s else Mine is from my Great grand father.
The Speedmaster was my first "real" watch...
... I was so nervous about how to wind it and how it looked on my wrist - I actually sold it after a month. How foolish! I regretted it so badly, I ended up buying another Speedmaster a couple years later and wear it almost daily now. Good choice!
I was also a little worried about the manual winding, haha.
