I’m being a little harsh as of course much, the majority, of high end watches are sold to buyers who want others to know the value of what’s on their wrist. But having seen these in person (through the window) earlier this morning they are unmistakably Swatch, even the two I referred to. I don’t think there is any danger of confusing the real moonwatch and this one.
I’m a buyer as I said, but I will wait until the madness calms. I mentioned in another post that 2.5 hours before the Times Square store opened today there was a line stretching the full block (B’way to 8th). It was at least 50% resellers, and so we will see these watches on StockX, EBay and other venues in large volumes. In fact, as is the norm, StockX has already seen lots of sales pre launch.

Everything else, i don"t like it. Omega already have too many models. A cheap plasticky quartz is the last thing we need. For Swatch fans, they should be happy. I prefer the real Omega.

But if it's too short of a run, then it won't generate the revenue for Swatch to make a difference. The plan is probably to sell somewhere in the region of a few hundred thousands of these!
