I think panerai collections require diversity
I'm learning, at least for me, collecting requires purpose. When I have panerai I need to have at least one other option to mix it up with...I don't do so well with just panerai and nothing else. I love their look but always find myself wanting rolex...and more specifically vintage rolex...so I've got money down and paying off a 1680 and after that will get another panerai...I think that we can get sick of anything and as one who is obsessive, I realize I need variety...I speak only for myself...but I never get tired of watches or seeing photos of people wearing rolexes or panerai...my other love is the '68 speedmaster I currently have strapped to my wrist...and the '71 GMT Pepsi on rivet bracelet my wife wears....
I have my eye on a 372, a also a chrono ie. 212 213 or 253...and maybe a PVD model, too
That would give me great diversity...but in my eyes an actual collection as I have flailed for years jumping from piece to piece...I feel tat I now have focus
But as I hope to have the vintage models above and after paying off the 1680 I think the panerai models will give me the diversity I want...
No other brands hold my interest for long but I live the. Classic vintage rolexes and speedmaster (the only omega I think that I like unless the PO gets a bracelet with micro adjustments on the clasp) and panerai....
Just another perspective is what I am offering...perhaps it is not fatigue but a need for diversity? I love the look of a lot of their models but realize only certain models suit me...the rest are for me to observe and appreciate but not to wear
