>>>it must be possible to openly and transparently address and discuss "annoyances“.<<<
Agreed, and we must remember that when it comes to passion, human emotions can follow suit... Am guilty of letting my emotions sometimes get the better of me, so am no saint 100% of the time.
>>>Panerai is still a relatively young brand and I see it like a "youngster“ of my own, where you have to set behavior-changing measures or hints from time to time.<<<
There are many independents far younger than Panerai doing truly incredible efforts into what is now expected in 2022.
>>>Maybe it will do something in Panerai's "control center"?<<<
Let us hope that Richemont realizes they could improve on being more transparent. As for how they achieve that goal....
>>>But let's see the positive and the (enforced) transparency here as an opportunity (!) to motivate an addressed manufacturer like Panerai to make some positive changes.<<<
100% agree.
If i may say, go see what Czapek, a truly young company that was re-launched only a handful of years ago, and how they're very effectively showcasing their product development, fine craftsmanship work, and the people who make these marvelous mechanical timepiece creations possible.
Imho, some companies need to better showcase **the human side**, the actual PEOPLE who physically create both the finely-crafted parts and also those who build and test them. Asking $17,000 for a timepiece with a 'mystery movement' even when repeatedly asked about it is not a good business practice IMHO. And as word gets out that is what is happening, that may not instill confidence in the Panerai brand.
If you really want to go 'outside the box' of Big Brands, please check out Torsrti Laine. It's sorta kinda 'the other side' of Big Box horology that is incredible! Torsti Laine isn't much for making videos, and while he has great Instagram and Facebook social media pages imho, there's virtually no social media hype from others...
...yet use your eyes.
See what he is actually doing... and sadly guess i need to mention the very reasonable pricing for the effort and energy he puts into each timepiece. The passion he kindly provides to us enthusiasts... you can see it, and dare i add 'feel it' too, within his products.
