Very expensive!
I did not order one. I ordered the Chopard. The pricing on this one is VERY EXPENSIVE for a watch at this level. I would've expected this watch to be around the similar price of a Breguet XXI, which is around 15K Euro. I would expect the JLC to be slightly less, but not by much since it is a very special movement in a square case - a very bespoke and low volume movement so their costs are super high. Breguet's positioning is also higher. Although personally I prefer this JLC over the Breguet XXI.
But now it's 27K Euro!!! That's almost double my expectation!!! It's also much more than the Geneva Seal-ed Chopard! Which admittedly doesn't have a bespoke movement (the 96 caliber is in a lot of different Chopard timepieces) but is still a very nice watch. JLC is really charging a big premium for this low volume chronograph.
At first I thought it was in a gold case, but then I had to double check, it's a steel case and it's still 27K Euros!

You only see the value if you understand that this movement is produced exclusively for this watch in low volumes.

But let's hope that this CEO is also going to raise not only prices, but also quality as well. At the end of the day, JLC needs to reflect the right values. If they're going to charge as much as Vacheron Constantin, then they need to have the same quality...

right now it justs looks like greed, because there has been an increase in price of about 40% in a little over a year without any real changes in quality

I'm generally quick to complain, but I also try to be careful and not be too quick to judge. I'm going to try to give this CEO the benefit of the doubt and let her prove herself to both the business community and the watch collector community.

The blue one used to sit at airport duty free stores, strap all faded from the bright lights. Now, they're snatched up! At least they're snatched up by people who really like the watch - not speculators whom are just buying Rolexes to flip.
As long as they are being bought by guys who´ll wear them then that´s fine by me.

I already have a Reverso and I like it a lot! So at least I'm not completely without a Reverso.
It is a very nice piece indeed. Not a fan of chrono complication for the reverso. I d rather prefer the duo faces or anything with moonphase and calendar, but not chrono.

given it is steel with such an impressive (but not perfect) skeleton chrono as well as a beautiful front dial. It is so tempting, but like many other brands, the ongoing price hikes make it difficult.

I think it the transmission of the minute information from the seconds hand to the retrograde counter that was quite ambitiousy done in the original and now has been simplified a bit?

It is just too big for me. I also feel it is a poor remake of the original, personally. I don't care for the direction Rénier is taking the brand and for me JLC becomes less appealing each year.

I have always wanted an AE but the date window at 4 always bothers me. Therefore when this combination of a stunning pink dial, LUC 1.96 movement and thinner case comes along, I know this is the one I have been waiting for.
