No complain here, as I bought my only new Reverso (Classic Duoface) in May. But the recent price increase from 8.900 € to 11.500 € is rather unusual. That's almost 30%. Also an AD (Bucherer) told me that in the near future Reversos will only be sold throu... 

Of the tier1 makers they take the biggest hit second hand, also there's a real plethora of reverso on the market already, it won't stop them from trying though.

why there is no boutique at all in whole Germany? In Munich we have a boutique for every big (and former big) watch brand (even Breitling just opened one).

At least it's not listed on the JLC website ...

In Switzerland, prices seem to have gotten up for a Reverso Classic Duoface Small Seconds from 9k to 10.5k (CHF) in less than 6 months. I guess there is still quite a gap between JLC on one hand and VC and AP on the other one, but still...

At that price, I feel the Reverso is an extremely poor value. I feel like that is an overstretch and I would look at alternatives without question (like a Cartier Tank). I find JLC, for me, has priced themselves out of the market. With their new prices, b... 

Was deciding between a Cartier Tank and the Reverso. The price increase is certainly the deal breaker now.

Why would anyone buy a master control date for more money than a datejust? It's insanity.

Would not agree that Tank and Reverso are the same, e.g. the movements. But get your point. Agree, Master Control is close to being priced out of the market. Then again AP Code 11.59 for CHF 30k or so...? Polaris costs half as much. Hm...

With the Code you get gold cases, better case and movement finishing and the prestige of the AP name. I'd say that the gap is justifiable

A Cal. 1917 MC is in any way inferior to a Cal. 822. Both are fairly pedestrian both, features, finish and function. In fact, the 1917 is anti-magnetic where as the JLC isn't.

I too love my reverso, I'm just not that happy with the price increase and some of the latest releases. I have confidence in the brand though, I'm sure we'll see some exciting stuff in the future.

Look at Rolex: no matter how desirable the watches are, they have been extremely conservative with their price increases. It shows self control and long term perspective. JLC has increased prices way too much over the last year, and for what? It's not lik... 

Entry level JLC is nowhere near entry level AP and VC in quality. They are increasing prices without making their watches better.

If you compare VC Fiftysix to JLC MC, JLC features a superior movement vs the Valfleurier movement of the VC. Finishing quality of the handset is also on comparable level if not better ob the JLC. I must admit though that the case shape of the VC is more ... 

The JLC movement is easily better, I'm not sure about the finishing though. I'd love to see machined anglage on entry level JLC movements.

What I have never understood is why they do not open up (more) monobrand stores and ideally take over the distribution themselves. With such a high (robust) demand why relying on ADs? (I know it takes time to execute such a strategy and the ADs served the... 

Reverso was very niche watch in early 90s and sure it is experiencing some more popularity now, but for that price, good luck.

The brand isn't as strong as VC nor the production so limited as ALS, dropping ADs and pushing the price higher is an aggressive move. I think they sell shed loads of reversos in China so maybe the price moves are really for that market? It feels like Ric... 

if somebody criticise the Reversos, please do not forget the complicated models ( Tryptique, Quadtryptique ), the limited series from the 90’s ( Septantieme, Tourbillon, Chronograph ). A Cartier Tank can’t hold the comparison even with the more simple Rev... 

I checked the JLC website for the United States — no price increases for Reversos that I could find.

I am okay with what I paid, especially seeing as how I got a bit of a discount at an annual “event” my local AD had (replete with a JLC factory rep.). Although a hacking movement would be nice, and I suspect its finishing isn’t up to the standards of some...
