I bought a Reverso (single face) earlier this year.
I am okay with what I paid, especially seeing as how I got a bit of a discount at an annual “event” my local AD had (replete with a JLC factory rep.). Although a hacking movement would be nice, and I suspect its finishing isn’t up to the standards of some others, my Reverso is accurate, I like the watch’s design and DNA, and I wear it often. In short, I think it’s cool.
But, would have I paid another $2K for it? Probably not. And I’m not sure I’d pay up for another Richemont offering (or LVMH for that matter).
I think my next purchase will be from an independent brand… or another Rolex. I realize this last statement is at odds to some; so be it.

Of the tier1 makers they take the biggest hit second hand, also there's a real plethora of reverso on the market already, it won't stop them from trying though.

why there is no boutique at all in whole Germany? In Munich we have a boutique for every big (and former big) watch brand (even Breitling just opened one).

Would not agree that Tank and Reverso are the same, e.g. the movements. But get your point. Agree, Master Control is close to being priced out of the market. Then again AP Code 11.59 for CHF 30k or so...? Polaris costs half as much. Hm...

A Cal. 1917 MC is in any way inferior to a Cal. 822. Both are fairly pedestrian both, features, finish and function. In fact, the 1917 is anti-magnetic where as the JLC isn't.

I too love my reverso, I'm just not that happy with the price increase and some of the latest releases. I have confidence in the brand though, I'm sure we'll see some exciting stuff in the future.
