The watch was made for your wrist. My wrist is more than half an inch smaller so when I tried the watch on two years ago, it was too large despite the short lugs. I figured if I can fit 42mm Breguets, then this should be fine!

42mm Breguets?? I struggle to wear 38mm Breguets no thanks to their straight lugs. For Breguets, 34mm to 36mm is ok for my wrist.

But I prefer buying new and fortunately there still are a few good watches at 36mm and 37mm!
There are some so-called unisex or women's watches I would wear.

For sure the WG or SS will go way under the radar. The movement is arguably more interesting than a RWS (which is a true masterpiece, as you say) and the escapement specifically is clearly horologically superior by a big step.
