Here are my pens and a couple matching pencil & rollerballs.



Nowadays when I don’t sign contracts and rarely write letter longhand, they only get used writing to relatives or signing cards (a bit like pocket watches; rarely in use).

Honestly, I never noticed the difference in sizes of the nibs … I only uncap one and use it - I have never lined them up like this before. And my brass pen rest thanks you because I was shamed into polishing it for the photo.

I also have 3-4 other desk accessories but they are on my office desk and I haven’t yet gone to dig them out of the pile of unsorted papers. 🧐

Can you also perhaps address mechanical pencils? I find them more useful than wooden for sketching and tracing.

PS - I think the reason not to loan a pen is much simpler and akin to the danger of watch loans — misuse or dropping.
