Independents

Oh my! Two flagship pens from two very different countries!

So.  I'm somewhat familiar with the 149.  I actually own one - although I don't really write with it.  I do use my 146 on a regular basis, which isn't too different from the 149 (nib on the 146 is much smaller and might feel slightly stiffer).

I do not own the Namiki Yukari Royale.  And most of our members do not own Japanese fountain pens.  Please tell us more about your thoughts between these two pens!  Please tell us what you've noticed!

For our members that aren't familiar with the Yukari Royale, this is a pen that costs about 50% more than the Montblanc flagship 149.  And this is a pen with a very large nib.  Japanese pens are slightly less wet than European nibs - in my experience.
