Glad you mentioned symmetry as my biggest inspiration is 18th/19th century watchmaking and that was the best period in terms of innovation, design, and efficiency. So, the first release is the simplest watch, in terms of dial, we'll be producing. I did this on purpose. It eases people into the design and brand. I've noticed when something is TOO different, it alienates prospects. Prolongs market consumption. The case and the fit are going to be "wow!" aspect. The dial is gorgeous too, don't get me wrong, but the case is outstanding. Lume, diamond cut faceted hands with lume, exhibition case back are all there. I have dubbed the motto of the brand to be Paradox in that I am heavily inspired by 18th/19th century aesthetic but the watch itself is very modern and contemporary. For myself, I'm usually most interested in quality of finishing.
Brands like Kari Voutilainen and Romain Gauthier achieve a level of finish that the big brands generally can't produce.

Re marketing, yes this was true of some folks for a long time but it seems that worry might have been allayed in the last year as collectors and speculators are finding them.

The case idea is nice, it’s been done in similar ways by Ian Schon for several years for his dials and for the body of his pens. Some really interesting results.
I think he also experimented with cases, but I’m not sure if that resulted in an end product.
