Independents

So.......

For me, I love independent brands but my taste are more peculiar.

So, when I look at an independent watch, I look for uniqueness. So while I prefer to have a independent watch make everything and thus create an exceptional unique piece of art (like Bovet or Debethune) I also really like watch makers like Laine or even Lang and Heyne who use a base movement but change it so much that it becomes their own! I personally don't like "simple" watches and prefer watches with a more unique design interms of both movement, case, and dial constructions. So i really like the case of both Bovet and Debethune as well as the movement architecture as well and the dial is awesome too! That is at least what I look for but that is going for like a niche sector, instead of the wider market. So the most succesful indies are usually those that are very well executed but simple so like Philip Dufour, Credor Simplicity, or other ones. I look at watches as pieces of art so I value uniqueness rather than wider appeal. Pls let me know what designs you are thinking of and what type of watch you are thinking of making?
