I cannot help but noticed this blue trend becoming stronger. If I remember correctly, it all seems to kick off in 2016, when Omega came out with the CK2998 and the Master Moonphase Chrono, then we start seeing blue Of course I might be wrong because the 2...

a limited run for the Japanese market I believe. Yes, the Tresor with the blue enamel dial. Blue is a popular colour and I also fell victim to it's allure with more blues in my collection than any other colour. Cheers fernando

I got curios and thought of my own watches... ironically, today that the theme of the week is the pieces we rarely show here, I found that my only watch with a purely blue dial (Boccadasse has lots of blue, but many other colors as well) is the very first...  

I think Rolex makes one of the most attractive blue dials in the watch world ...

A few blue dial watches makes ones collection more lively, but I will stick to Black as the "base" color of mine, especially steel case watches

way before the Omega CK2998 LE came out. It was in the mid-2000s I believe when the floodgates opened and blue dials became at least secondarily familiar with watches as black dials. I recall sometime right before the Speedmaster LE Gemini 4 blue dial cam... 

My watch bug really grow and started in 2014 when I joined PuristSPro and with the advance in internet accessibility and useful speed. No doubt about your facts... I see now it’s safe to get more blue watches 😬

I suppose it depends on which culture and what is considered rare colour at that period of history

I know there was a different thread talking about spill over demand. I’m just noticing every Baselworld or SIHH in recent years, there will be a blue watch in high demand. As my reply to MTF above, look at PP 5168G, 5650G, 40th anniversary 5711p/5976g and...

So, blue has been around for a long time and is here to stay i think. Back in the day it was reserved for Platinum cases (PP and IWC ) but now it sells more watches as a 2nd or 3rd iteration of a model in years after introduction ( Black Bay ) What does s...  

I only noticed in recent years of major watch fairs, the sought after and high demand watches has been blue, see my reply to MTF and ChristianDK above. Thanks for the input....and agree a splash of orange is here, like ultraman and new Aquanaut 5968 for t... 

And orange was very popular in the 70`s in many watches as well as interiour design. Although i do hope it doesnt get back into swing with seats and sofa`s ….

Maybe designers ran out of ideas 🤣 or the used market and auction prices for them are too good so brands capitalize on the trend. Well it’s a free market and consumer is king now.

Traditionally blue was reserved for platinum or special edition watches which to some extent it still is. The right shade of blue for me blends much better with steel than standard black. Decide for yourself ...

But is it that blue is different to the norm - black/white, but is safe enough esp compared to say red,green or orange? Have 3 blue watches Poljot alarm - had it for something over a decade ubiquitous Seiko 5 I also got distracted by a vintage blue memovo...

Carl F Bucherer revealed what they called "the blue wave" - a trio of watches with gorgeous blue dials. They weren't the first, to be sure, but they were the first brand that I saw emphasized it. I ended up getting the T-Graph with blue dial, a personal f... 

The flexibility of the shades enable the brands to be creative and continues to wow crowds. That’s good, no concerns getting more Blue watches for all members 😉
