. . . on The Purists, SJX . . . my humble '65 Seiko Sea Lion was used daily for over forty years, and still performs it's duties once a month or so with aplomb ever since I had it serviced in '06. My dad told me that he purchased it in Kuwait City while on a business trip for $40, and when it finally broke down he gave it to me because he didn't think it worthwhile to repair. He just rolled his eyes when I told him that I spent ten times the purchase price in having the movement serviced and equipping it with a custom gator strap and deployant. As far as I'm concerned, this particular watch is priceless . . . . cordially, Art
