Thanks SJX for the 'short' history that was more than comprehensive.
I am a fan of GS, of course, and it was difficult living in Japan as they WERE available. When they did not export GS watches, it was almost a private li'l secret for 'pure horology' fans, lucky enough to access Japan. The watches do what the chronometry certificates say they do. The finishing was "adequate" for the primary purpose - good timekeeping.
So, I am in two minds about your posting. On one hand, the PuristS' ideals (Passion. Opinion. Information ) make it imperative that you shared. The human part of me wants to be selfish and not.........
