Horological Meandering

I'm not sure I like it

It's a good watch, of course, but it has problems that a 50k watch shouldn't have. First of all, the price is insanely high, secondly the design isn't in any way original. I am not a fan of the independent fad. Most of these new brands will be gone in 10 years time, and these extremely expensive timepieces will be unserviceable, which is something that goes directly against the ethos of watchmaking. The high end market is being flooded with boutique brands, which could be a good thing for watchmakers who want to express their own identity, but I guess that it's not something aimed at the middle class.
