EITHER True Love OR Inability to sell the darn thing!
Hi Ping
I look at other people's collections and look at what happens to their watches. Some turn over regardless of the purchaser.
Is it the model? The brand? The fashion trends around us? I don't know.
And I look at some specific watches - especially those that appear for sale and stay in the marketplace for what seems like forever. I'm afraid to buy those watches - in this case, is the problem with the individual item?
I found one poster online who said I will NEVER SELL THIS WATCH and he provided good, sharp photos of it. That very limited production, fine watch (same serial number) is available for resale at my local dealer right now.
I have a fair number of watches I've been too lazy to sell which are still in my collection, but I have many others that I just love and won't let go.
Unlike some other posters here, I dont' seem to be trading up after long collection (10 years) because I just find it hard to bear the thought of wearing too expensive a watch on my arm. I don't mind looking at them and playing with them, but I can't bring myself to risk banging them around (I wear every watch I own) But there's always hope! (as my local watch dealers keep saying ...)
