….it is the lesser of the evils, insofar as the date wheel at least matches the dial colour. This I would consider a win !

All I can say is it's brought me a lot of happiness. But sure, Breguet, take some sort of vague interest in your collectors and offer me a 5175 (dateless)!

even with the date window, the 5177 remains a fantastic and beautiful watch, imo. But I think I would love it even more without the date window. Please don't let our nit-picking considerations alter your happiness with this watch in any way!

but if u persist with a date, I much prefer the Lange 1, especially the 30th anniversary edition 😍 ...

Anyone knows that they can do the version with no date, but I'm fine with the date, I don't need it (the watch, I mean). What's embarrassing are those hands in the moon phases, the power reserve should be completely redesigned and not hung where's some ro... 

See how neatly it fits in there just inside the hour track? Would I like it even better without the date? Yes, I suppose I would. But the date window feels more out of place on the enamel dial because the dial is otherwise so pure and clean. The guilloche...  

But tbh, I’ve had it with the complaints about a date EVERY time a new watch is shown…. We get a zillion reactions about the date. It’s getting ridiculous
