Well, I'm super excited for you with this Cadillac!

Personally, I find it to be one of the most compelling offerings in the "super-sedan" category.
The BMW M5 sounds really quiet, the steering is good considering it's AWD, but everything else is just too comfort oriented. The underneath of this car is super impressive, from the 530i to the M5, all 5-series now have aluminum front and rear subframes (thick billet aluminum, very nice) with all aluminum suspension linkages; front suspension is double wishbone too! Ferrari is all aluminum suspension and subframes. But somehow, the whole car feels super comfort oriented, and the shocks are actually extra firm to give that sense of sportiness (who wants that? it's like the car was almost made intentionally uncomfortable just to dial up the sportiness). This all starts to make sense when you realize the chassis is a shortened 7 series chassis which itself is shared with a Rolls-Royce chassis (or as most people say, Rolls-Royce takes a BMW 7 series chassis and upscales it for the Ghost/Wraith?Dawn cars). I don't have a lot of experience with the car, but I liked it as a comfortable cruiser, but I wasn't super impressed - it wasn't emotional. The wheels of this car are huge, and heavy, and the car certainly does have a lot of rotational mass. I suspect BMW tuned the braking system to brake with more force to help one feel less of this. A great automatic transmission - so good that I don't think dual clutch is necessary. Very quick lock-up. Virtually no torque converter flex in any situation high-load or low-load.
The Mercedes E-Class AMG is sportier feeling than the BMW, and has an amazing engine sound - much better than the BMW. Worse steering than the BMW if I recall correctly, one really felt the AWD in the steering - but I can't say that with certainty as I didn't drive the two cars back to back on the same road, in the same weather. If I recall it had a front aluminum subframe (good) and a rear steel subframe (very ordinary, aluminum would've been more impressive) and all aluminum suspension components (good). The car was emotional sounding. Not necessarily emotional feeling. Then again, in a short drive, I'm not driving the car at even 25% of its limits. I'd probably equate it to a Porsche with a snazzier exhaust note. A very good automatic transmission is in the AMG. Mercedes automatics (this one should be in-house made) have always been super slow shifters, but now it's finally fast. But the BMW's automatic (which is supplied by ZF) is better.
I completely haven't driven the current M3 nor M4. And I haven't driven the CT5 Blackwing. But I have a feeling that the Blackwing, being RWD, its slightly smaller wheels and tires (less spinning weight means lower inertia to accelerate and slow down the tires), and that engine must be super emotional. Especially considering its paired to a manual transmission... It sounds super exciting to me! It's also a significant horsepower increase over its German counterparts. Although I can't be certain I'd notice 60 horsepower in this territory.
Either way. I'm super excited! What a machine!
