Uncle Steve bought the classic Merc from the widow of the original owner . . .
. . . back in the '80s. He had to chase down a few trim parts that were damaged or missing, but it was entirely stock otherwise. Car guys would go nuts over it. There were about two hundred '50 Mercs sold with dealer-installed Paxton blowers, and they had special badging to indicate a supercharger under the hood. I'll see if he has photos of the car; I may not be able to get them in time for this week's WS thread, but will post them on Automotive eventually.
Sadly I never had a ride in it. He owned the Merc for about five years before selling around 1990.
