Toolin’ away at it !

Hello Captain , fantastic choice of topic ! On the surface , one would think it ought to be easy to define a Tool watch , since as watch enthusiasts we are always being exposed to that phrase ; how this , that or the other is “ the perfect tool watch “ , the “ quintessential tool “ so on and so forth .
But when one scratches a bit deeper , you realise that this is one of those cases where it’s simple to recognise but not to define . For me then , I think it would be something that goes 1) a little bit beyond “ time only “ , preferably just one additional function but not too far beyond and bristling with complications ! 2) Also hardy , willing , indeed inviting some hard knocks but coming out of it better for the wear . 3) And yet not just about brute force with too overwhelming a presence ; a touch toned down will do it 🙂
And it’s been great to see scrolling through the various posts how many different takes there are on this simple theme !
So without further ado , the ones I feel are my perfect Tools are …
The Sinn, because … well what’s to say ; it’s a Sinn innit ?
The Navitimer because of its history and purpose , even if it seems to violate my second rule a touch ☺️
The B&R GMT because it meets my first and third rules perfectly!
Cheers
