Here a few watches in my collection which remind me…

… of my dear friend the Captain.

We shared the ownership of several watches and also a passion for all things related with Astronauts watches, the Moon Landing, and James Bond.

We used to make some references to Bond movies and remembering phrases or characters from the films and novels and we found much fun and joy doing that.

Same happened with the film Appocalipse Now and the Williard Seiko
and with references to scuba diving which he also practiced.

How not to remember him every time I wear any of these watches I show below?

The Speedmaster Moonshine we both owned.

The rare 105.012 CB case. Same reference and variant worn by Neil Armstrong in Apollo 11 epic Moon Mission in 1969.
The Captain’s specimen was in much better condition and patina than mine here:

The distinctive lugs of this model:

A vintage and a modern reissue of the Williard watch and a reference to the film

Bond watches. The Captain was a very knowledgeable Bond fan

The Bond Rolex no crown guards was a Big Crown reference but this one is the one I could afford and represents it somehow.

The Captain also owned the 60th Anniversary Bond Omega with its awesome moving caseback

Farewell and Godspeed my dear Captain!!
Abel
