Not easy to choose just one of them but I´m specially touched by your Staut with those arabian indexes. I also am surprised to view your Omega which I can´t remember viewing before. Thank you so much for sharing this superb collection! Hagwe. Abel
Hello dear friends, This weekend our theme is “Dials”, a theme very much on show from the various manufacturers new offerings this year. The first thing that most of us connect with visually when buying a watch is the dial, it could be the colour, the fin...
I like that the small second is off-centered which is unusual and on a square sub-dial (it matches the main square dial). I like that the dial is guilloché (guilloché-ed inenglish? ). I like the very useful 8-day power reserve with its special "porthole" ...
I must admit that the pure, simple, classic design was the reason I chose the not so popular white dial... Your black dial is just stellar, maybe somewhere down the road you might add the white as well;-))) Have a great weekend!
... which was the date I got my own chrono black, so I had no chance to choose. I liked the white so much, but the black was the only available and at a very tempting price. In some point of view it was better this was the only choice because it could be ...

I had a chance to attend a complications event with AP and was intrigued by some of the more traditional novelties in the Royal Oak variety, including many of which have been launched very recently. In parallel, we got an introduction to the CODE line, an...
As a first timer it's been fun and cool to share the dial in WS - funny how it's probably been...over 10 years since I've lurked since the days of TP - looking forward to seeing how to participate in the future. Peter

. . . for a family gathering, and spending the weekend with us, Abel. It'll be a quiet weekend mostly at home. I've just pulled the trigger on another '50s Omega with an engraved black dial that should arrive in a week or so. It's not in good shape mechan...
Great news about your new catch. Black dial? That promises something special. I´m sure your watchmaker will make his magic with this one so you´ll enjoy it so much on your wrist. Receive my cordial regards and big Hug my dear friend. Abel

yes, I took a "flyer" on Aleksandr's work and jumped in. Initially it was going to be a blue dial, with polished steel hands, but the blue color he came up had too much purple in it for my taste. As I had seen the raw brass dial prior to coloring, I asked...

Dials really are the soul of our watches. The green dial Daytona is truly spectacular and for me the one that got away. That’s a story for another time ! Beautiful vintage pieces that you are sharing with us and patina is another subject that we should co...

The more I think of it, it may well be my favourite Rolex dial of all time. Many will likely not agree, but I am deeply partial to the frosted texture and find it a wonderful way to showcase the unique properties of platinum in a restrained manner.
... years. You should check this detail as I don´t really know. Rolex did a wonderful job with this timepiece but I hadn´t the opportunity of viewing in the metal the later references. Good luck with your hunt! Cheers! Abel.
Great theme this week Captain. I immediately thought of this dial. Sometimes it looks black, sometimes it looks blue. At most times, it cannot be easily defined. ...
This piece I have grown to like a lot, as it slips under the radar and no one knows what it is. Sometimes I lament that it’s movement finishing reminds me of the back of a CD.
I didn’t intend to buy it at first, but somehow the boutique in Sydney brought this US exclusive for a trunk show, and left it behind to sell, and I got the chance to get it. It was almost an instantaneous decision due to the unusual hue of the dial, and ...

When I met Kari I explained that I would actually like a PR on the watch as it's a manual wind. He then had a picture on the CAD of one he was designing for another client and I said that's what I want. It added another CHF 8000 to the bill. The guilloche...
It’s fascinating to hear about your journey with Kari to produce this beautiful watch. Personally I think you made a great choice on the dial colour and finish.

Hi all, First is my Chopard LUC Sport 2000 that IMHO is a watch that punches well above it's price point both for its beautiful blue guilloche dial and its in house movement visible through the case back. I feel very lucky to of been able find one of thes...
"Current" is the operative word here. Impossible to say as I like them all and vacillate between these and others. Admittedly I am so fickle at times. HAGWE

Hi MJ, Frosted dials are a particular favourite of mine and you are showing us two of the best out there. Incredible quality of craftsmanship. Thank you for joining us for Wristscan.
I love frosted dials very much myself. It’s also a really big difference between traditional made by hand vs sand blasted methods. The former method produces such a rich and unique texture.
As I am on holidays a late entry but I suppose there might be some shots on my phone... Me predating the green trend by 6 years or so with the GS SBGX097 😂 The SBGH035 - there are many appealing elements with this one but the dial is certainly one of the ...
We’re just getting started ! LOL ! The VC 1972 dial is definitely a reason to pull the trigger on this one as is the brushed dial on your Omega Railmaster. Have a great holiday. Best regards The Captain
