Second. The Swatch Omega’s. Plastic!
So i want no plastic, or i try to not buy plastic products as most as i can.
I like mechanical watches, because they are sustainable and can service as long a watch maker can replace and lubricate parts.
Third. I had a Tissot with a Swissmatic movement.
After three years the power was out of the watch.
Sure, the Swissmatic have plastic parts to reduce costs to keep the watch price low.
Tissot is a fine brand, but ok, i think the days of plastic are over.
One exemption i have for watches made of recycled plastic. Found in the sea, fish nets, etc.

Call it a "proprietary composite" and you won't be as concerned..

Well, I would be more relaxed if Tissot gave some info about this material. What kind of plastic it is, hardness, durability... I’ve even read that the
servicing consists in replacing the movement for a whole new one. Also I’ve read that the accuracy is excellent. You must know it well... very nice your blue PRX.

Everyone says the accuracy is excellent. Although in general I don’t like a caliber with plastics, legends like some Speedies or the Lemania 5100 (central minute chronograph) had it.
I would be happy with some info from Tissot about what I am buying and the durability and possibilities of servicing of this material.
Interesting, I did not know that one. While I agree on the fact that plastic lacks of perceived quality, in the end, we can be reassured that plastic components will be easily replaceable when needed (maybe even through 3D printing).
Overall I would still tend to avoid this caliber, I would not look at my watch the same way knowing that it has plastic in it...
