But the post you post is interesting. The big thing, Plastic parts. That is for me shocking! Tissot use plastic. I write this because i know how polluted the earth is with old plastic. The ocean clean up, Breitling’s effort to clean up the oceans. Second....  

Not that exited as the titel. Retired. I did not threw my Tissot away. The reason is not plastic. The reason is that it was my first automatic watch ever. I found it realistic i start up collecting watches, to start with a affordable watch to explore more... 

Is without plastic. Ok, i kept an old watch. I do not threw it away because it contains tritium. I must bring it away as light nuclear waste. ...  

Radioactivity. There is a lot in watches. Lumination purposes. Tritium. T on a dial is the evidence, Tritium. 12 years half time. As i am note Madam Curie. Kraftwerk’s Radioactivity. Is in the air for you and me. It is no shame you own a G Shock and Garmi... 

But Kraftwerk is one of my favorites bands. It is no reason for me to wear German watches. My other favorite bands. Motörhead. Laibach. The Stranglers. Iron Maiden. The Cure. Japan. Talking Heads. Spandau Ballet. Sparks. Rita Mitsuko. Khaled. Steve Miller... 

No local amateur band. Call a band who nobody know, ok, than starting a talk is more difficult. Pink Floyd, i guess many know the band. The relation between David Gilmour and Roger Waters is amazing to follow. Who made the best Floyd album? I confess that... 

indicate a need for servicing. Accuracy is still very good as is PR. When I bought it I already had quite a few watches so wrist time has not been huge. I try to rotate pieces or at the very least give them a manual winding every few weeks, doing that wit...

servicing consists in replacing the movement for a whole new one. Also I’ve read that the accuracy is excellent. You must know it well... very nice your blue PRX.

To answer your question, I would say no. I don't understand how there could be such a cost savings to make those two parts plastic, charge a few bucks more.. Unless they are saying it is some kind of technology that makes it better over the long run but w... 

I would be happy with some info from Tissot about what I am buying and the durability and possibilities of servicing of this material.

Overall I would still tend to avoid this caliber, I would not look at my watch the same way knowing that it has plastic in it...

Tissot ought to show very convincing reasons to use the ETA

If I recalled correctly. The are high resistance plastics like Delrin, Ultem, PEEK and the list goes no. So not a concern to use on watches but the wear and tear will be faster compared to traditional metal and jewell contact from the pictures you can pro...
