The Production Figures II
May 14, 2019,20:33 PM
I think to get a better understanding of the production figures, you have to look closely at the V&C Chronograph watches of that time.
Why? Because they have been in a very close price bracket.
And you should think about, if they would have been sold better, similar or even worse than the Chronographs.
I guess they sold almost similar in total, maybe a little less.
But it is also known that the lunar versions were by far more more popular than the standard calendar versions and the ref 4241 was sold less than the ref 4240.
Production figures of V&C ref 4178:
Cal 434: 231 pieces in yellow gold and 280 pieces in rose gold
Cal 492: 114 pieces in yellow gold and 108 pieces in rose gold
The number of pieces in steel and steel/gold is not certain the archives state 191 pieces but with a 20% error margin.
(this is not per year it is the total number over the complete manufacturing period)
