I’ve noticed that VC has top level finishing, although it seems to be different depending on the product line. Although they’re all with the Geneva Seal, I did notice some minute differences - for example the finishing of the 4400 caliber in the Traditionnelle line is very much nicer than the same movement (base) in the Historiques Triple Calendar 1942. Maybe I’m seeing things, but I do think that there are some minor differences depending on the family lines.
If someone could confirm that, I would certainly appreciate it, as I’m considering purchasing my very first VC this coming month as well.

The lucky side
Patek Philippe absorbing the status freaks, so Vacheron Constantin can make watches for us who love the craftsmanship of watchmaking. The whole line up is mind blowing, from patrimony to twin beat. Real names instead of cold numbers.
Patek is ok
My reply suggest i dislike Patek, but that isn’t tru. People went to fast to the big names overlooking others. For me personally i think VC is my choice seeing the models VC made.

I didn't time it
and one drawback is there is no hacking second, but I time casual observation says it is keeping time accurately.

and does wears big. Min wrist size to pull it off will be 6.5" I think.

IMO, the Overseas does have better movement finishing than the Nautilus and RO. Specifically, I think both the rotor and the anglage on the bridges look better.
I'd buy one if the watch were thinner!
I borrowed one from Vacheron Constantin, but I just decided I liked my Nautilus more mainly because the Nautilus was thinner.
I would not say VC is 'underrated'
It is up there with AP, Patek, etc, but unlike ( at least the icons of) those brands, VC is challenged by resale value... otherwise certainly no under-rating... enjoy your exquisite piece!
