Ahh, good point, thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Normally I don't like tourbillons, but I do like watches that are a little bigger diameter.
I agree, a tourbillon and automatic are not special singularly, but combined, and done in a way that the rotor doesn't block the transparent tourbillon, I have to say this one is done well and I felt obligated to mention praise when I thought it was due.
There will definitely be a segment of the population who will find this a boring watch. I generally find many watches boring too. But I have to admit, there are some "boring" watches that are just done very very well. And I have to admit, I've bought some "boring" pieces just because they were well executed.
And even worse, there are boring watches, that are not well executed, that are good sellers. The new Nautilus Perpetual calendar is deeply flawed; just look at the 9 o'clock pusher that interrupts the polished hinge portion of the case. That's a poor integration of the design. Patek Philippe should've done something to hide that pusher.
What watch caught your eye recently CL? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Exactly!

I like 'boring ' watches but

there are good 'boring' and bad 'boring'. Good ones are meant to be subtle and yet technically and conceptually strong. Bad ones just don't say much. For this tourbillon, the fact that we need to applaud them that the rotor doesn't block the transparent t...

I am certain any well designed watch that's 38mm-39mm from the big brand and focus on extreme finishing like Dufour and Credor will be an instant hit. For VC, if they continue following the route of Grand Seiko, launching important vintage piece s in reas...

I didn't notice if the hair spring was a flat or terminal curved or otherwise. I'll ask on your behalf if I get a chance. It's really a great watch, one of the best watches I've ever reviewed and a piece I already know I want to own. I almost didn't want ...

Truly hard to find weaknesses and faults with this one. And I'm normally picky enough to find something wrong with every piece! I like it a great deal too... I'm currently buying something physically big. But I think I still have enough room for something...
