Not all posts here will, or ought to be, enjoyed by all visitors. There are always a number of posts, even if related to horology, that I never open myself - the subject matter simply isn't of personal interest. With that said, this is still a U.S. based forum where firearm ownership and marketing is a nation-wide right and business activity, and this webspace has from the outset (from the PuristSPro days) encouraged the sharing and informed contribution of any and all luxury item categories, including specialized firearms.... As you can see for yourself, there is a significant enough number of people here who love reading these topics, and actively desire to contribute to them themselves. Funnily enough, to my knowledge, Switzerland is one of those European countries where firearm ownership is likewise generally accepted and statistically speaking, a large number of people own firearms. It is also a country where quality firearms are manufactured

That bolt isn't decorative and serves a very significant purpose - it is one of the attachment points bolting the grip to the frame since they are two seperate parts. Also, I called myself the village idiot, I would never insult someone of your pedigree
No misreading, the trigger bow is an actual part of the trigger, the gaurd is a part of the frame. Those aren't interchangeable terms. Keep digging!

I spent the bulk of the past day disassembling and fiddling with each component of the gun separately, and after cleaning out the oil/lube/grease residues it is clear to me that the machining on the surface of the components is nothing short of exemplary....
My understanding....
Despite not yet having the opportunity to visit the factory in Texas myself is that each and every component is CNC machined from billet aluminum and subsequently finished and fitted by hand.... That's where the bulk of the $6-9K cost for these guns comes...
So, what is it succinctly that you specifically....
look for, and are willing to pay a premium for to get it on a custom built pistol??

really aluminium or did I mis-read it? If they are, I'm very surprised for one obvious reasons: its weight doesn't suit the recoil of the 1911A1 (Newton's 3rd Law) - it's just too light for a heavy-recoiling gun.
