This is fact...these 4 Rollieโs retail is equivalent to ONE preowned 5711/1A or 5712/1A or 5726/1A, amazing right? I understand different peopleโs taste and preferences but imo, the watches in comparison each have their huge support of fans and high deman...
Back in the day the 5711/1A was a little more reasonably priced. I love Rolex but the Patek Nautilus range is totally cool. Look this two that both work great. Your Rolex selection/set is awesome. Soory I am no help - picking favorite kids is tough. ...
Thanks Bill, itโs a different world in vintage or discontinued models. Good thing Iโm just limiting to current modern selections. You have 2 winners on your wrists ๐๐ป๐๐ป
I tried it on and was a bit disappointed but I think itโs because I saw so many people talking about it that I kinda imagined something Even better. Donโt get me wrong itโs a nice piece but I prefer the Rolex. Especially the root beer that I would really ...
Definitely the Patek. But I would argue that it's pretty tough to find these Rolex sport models at retail these days, at least in Asia. You will probably have to pay a premium for a BNIB. J
As an owner of some of the PP you note, but not of any of these specific Rolex (but similar ones), I will say in this or similar cases then 4 always wins over 1.
If you get bored of Rolex, it's natural to wander off to other brands like Patek, AP, RM, etc. Based upon "retail pricing", Rolex wins hands down, UNLESS the watch is a ref. 5711/5712. If you want street value, I would say none of the above -> sell all ->...
Having owned or currently own most of your options I can say I value (not money but enjoy) my date sub as much as my Nauty. The 5711A is nice, but is not worth the fuss and I strongly feel in a bubble. Whose to say the ceramic panda Daytona doesnโt reach ...
I see your point, it's hard to say what will the future be, we all wish we have a crystal ball and sell our stocks/401k before Oct market correction Last 2 years or so, I saw a pre-owned 3712/1A selling in the 40s, and I felt it was too high....it's 6 dig...
the 5711 Vs the 4 Rollies are equal Iโll go for Rolex...brings variety that can go for any day for the same money ! 5711 is good but not necessarily something new since it was designed...IMHO. Best, Mahesh.,
even at list I believe the 5711 is already way too expensive Buying one secondhand.... just crazy Said it before how much cocaine does one have to take to get a secondhand 5711 if you can have a 5170 for the same price??
I totally get your point, similar brand with higher complications are being โneglectedโ which is good for value hunters or people in the know aka collectors like you. Thank you ๐๐ป
I'd love a steel Patek, even over list price. But the Rolexes have much more interesting complications (I love dual times). If it was the 5990, it would be a clear winner for me but otherwise the Patek wins the style/quality battle while Rolex gets the fu...
how many sporty watches do you have in your current collection. If โonlyโ this 4, I wonโt let them go for the Nautilus. If much more, than maybe, but only if you bought the Rollies for list price... I think the 4 Rolexes have a bit more market value at th...
I take that as a toss up so awards to both brands each with their own merits. The range of prices for the models listed are huge, which explains the uncertainty and testing of the supply/demand. Iโm assuming if a person can own either, whatโs his/her pref...
This is just my takeaway: Both sides are all winners in each of their own class and category. PP is high end luxury brand, a desirable ultimate goal/grail watch by many and probably will wear for special occasions and preciously protecting any damages so ...
