Rolex

Just plain greedy

AD receiving stock from Rolex, already at a dealer's discount so that they can sell at the SRP and profit on the margin. That's how I understand the trade. Discount is on the AD's discretion for loyal customers and Rolex HK recommended no more than 10% to be given out, was told they even have secret shoppers to maintain this practice but no action in over charging customers. Anyone visit HK, will not see any sports Rolex models on the display windows and even if you do, no price tag and when asked, it will never be the price one found in any Rolex catalogue. I asked a friend working for AD as to whom set the premium, he quietly told me "the bosses". Another word, any new Rolex out and available, the SRP is non-existence and immediately agreed and set the premium to be sold. That's greed to me, making profit over the AD's discount and making another mega profit on customers, and they all considered this is fair and square. If you don't want it, they just call another and it will be gone faster than GTA. I have a question, why set the SRP, why not said, to be determined how hot it is going to be instead. I envied all those doesn't live in HK, to be able to wait in earnest and calm to get their target Rolex without having to contort to high premium slapped on every newly released pieces. Nowadays, with more free time, I can afford to fly to Europe to buy one or two but sooner or later, it will not be possible and I will just cuddle the ones (Rolex) I owned. I have hesitated many times to share my feelings over this unfair trading and perhaps if someone can pm me the address or person or department from Rolex HQ, I will be prepared to share with them my feelings. AD and flippers are the same, AD flipped brand new stocks and flipper, secondhand stocks, who are the losers - WE ARE...  Thanks to all who shared with me with their comments and dislikes..
