Do you know what I like about your posts?
I like your watches. I like your taste. But actually, those issues are irrelevant. There is no such thing as "correct taste". Nobody has a definitive word on what is a beautiful watch and what is not. I know my wife thinks all my Rolex subs and SDs look exactly the same. Show her one with a silver dial and she loves it. Different things work for different people....
so, where am I going with this?
It is not so much as I think I am in love with your watches...or that you have the finest example of a watch that i have seen....no. It is that you so clearly love what you are doing and love those watches....your enthusiasm just shines through....and that is what is a pleasure from these forums. The general and widespread feeling that comes from a collector who truly loves his hobby. It is not about how much money something is worth... or how demanded a watch is....or for that matter how perfect a watch is... it is the joy that is shown from owning a watch... and for that trait, I loved your threads.
You do open up an interesting idea on favourite watches.... if i had to take just 3 types of Rolex, what would it be? Really tough..... but:
Sea-dweller 1665
Daytona 6239 or 6238
Explorer 6610 (Red Depth)
probably in that order.....
Great thread by the way....
