Regarding what I called "silvr printing", I mean that the inscriptions (minutes rail, around tritm markings, crown, Rolex name and related inscriptions, and crown, etc.) have a silverish hue, not white or gilt.
I´m not a very knowledgeable about dial variants, and guess this was an original feature.
It´s difficult to show this in my pictures, though, and they look white, even if I enlarge when uploading. I´ll try anyway.

About the crown
Don't be sad for your 6542's crown ....... in my opinion (for that matters now) I'm pretty sure that after '58 the crown is without the + This is my 6542 by the way. ;-)...

I always thought that the " Crown + " came for 6542 released BEFORE '58... The Charm of these Vintage Rolex lies here... So many uncertain things. Best, Nicolas
