It’s the Speedy for mine. I have an anniversary model and they are totally underrated in the current intoxicating environment where supply/demand trumps technical excellence, history and provenance. Let’s all keep in mind that the Omega Speedmaster was the winner in a very clean and fair fight back in the day. Allegedly the Rolex Chronograph failed both the humidity tests and the high temp tests devised by the NASA scientists.

you made this very difficult using the daytona with the green dial which is the only daytona i like/would consider
But, i must say i would pick the moonshine as well for most of the reason you mention and just the overall emotion it triggers for me when i look at it.

The Moonshine. I’m not sure I could rock either which tells you how much cooler Justin (or Yokozuna) is than me. I do wish Speedmaster had greater water resistance in general but still no question. Omega is gaining on Rolex...I’m sure it’s probably a matt...
I love the Daytona
But here the moonshine is more elegant. I need to see it on Yokozuna first, to really be sure!

Without a shadow of doubt, my choice would be the Speedmaster. Reasons why are several technical, of which many have been mentioned already and esthetic reasons. Furthermore I’m probably one of the very few who think the Daytona is not a desirable watch. ...

My understanding is that this Omega has a cam system instead of a column wheel controlled chronograph? I'll take the Daytona. It might not be the crazy popular choice, as I know Omegas are in vogue, but it's the qualitative one!

Admittedly, I'm a bigger fan of the Speedmaster than the Daytona, although I have both (in steel). In gold, for me the advantage for the Speedmaster is even greater. Kent

I think you misunderstood the point of the choice in this exercise. For me, I obvious chose BOTH 😜 but if I had to choose, it would be an easy decision as I would choose the Moonshine without hesitation...

I vote for the daytona
The heart says it, but the brain says the Moonshine is superior in many ways. Something rakish about a gold daytona conjures a weekend club ride out with the driving club.
I took the liberty to wipe the red lipstick off the omega...just to get an idea of 'wat if'..
