I wore a 3940 for over ten years as my daily watch and it served me perfectly. My feeling is that you would not be disappointed by the 5140 in the slightest. That is one absolute honey of a watch. You will not have a problem with it as your “Daily”. My experience with Patek service has been good. They have been willing to stand behind their work. Good luck and thanks for posting.

It's difficult to try it on now during COVID 19 and these watches are discontinued, so it may not be easy to obtain one to try. But try it on. And consider a 5140 (round case, same movement).

The hands are okay. I much prefer the Breguet style hands of the older models. There is a little ridge around the dial on the bezel which accumulates a lot of grime and dirt which is not easy to clean. If you want this type watch I would recommend the 504...

Personally I'm not a fan of the standard 5040, but the one with Breguet numerals and hands is sublime.

Hi, Zaki, I think 5940G is a winner. It combines the elements of ultra thin perpetual calendar, classical leaf shaped hands and applied Breguet numerals. The caliber 240Q is one of the best ever built fine watch movement.
Unless you don't like the cushion shape case, you should go for it. It wears perfectly on my 7inch wrist, hence should fit your 6.6 inch wrist too. Besides, just like the famous "TV" shaped Patek PCC, reference 5020 reference, It may not be a sought after...
