I own a 5940G and my wrist is 16.3cm. The watch is actually a 37mm watch and the 44mm quoted size as you know includes the lugs. I have owned the watch for 2 years and have just accepted a deposit on it from a fellow purist. Please don't get me wrong - it is my favourite perpetual calendar but I am targeting a dream watch of mine.
The movement is terribly reliable and I have the watch on a winder. I think the watch will suit your larger wrist because this is a discreetly elegant watch in a lovely case shape. Pity I have sold mine or else you could have it!

It's difficult to try it on now during COVID 19 and these watches are discontinued, so it may not be easy to obtain one to try. But try it on. And consider a 5140 (round case, same movement).

Personally I'm not a fan of the standard 5040, but the one with Breguet numerals and hands is sublime.

I have barely worn my 5940G. I am not sure why but it does get less wrist time than all my other watches. And you are right - he is one lucky purist but I know him well

Hi, Zaki, I think 5940G is a winner. It combines the elements of ultra thin perpetual calendar, classical leaf shaped hands and applied Breguet numerals. The caliber 240Q is one of the best ever built fine watch movement.
Unless you don't like the cushion shape case, you should go for it. It wears perfectly on my 7inch wrist, hence should fit your 6.6 inch wrist too. Besides, just like the famous "TV" shaped Patek PCC, reference 5020 reference, It may not be a sought after...
