Annoying Patek Black

*thanks for many photo from the Net The first black dial model I bought was an #5140p-013. I was captivated by the gorgeousness and bought it on a loan. The fact that I had a special party nearby also pushed my back. Until then, I had seen #5227black and

In love with this one!

It was presented at the 2015 Grand Exhibition, held at London’s Saatchi Gallery. Here is a pic of the catalogue. The differences between the 3940-029 and other 3940s and the 5140 were described in a post i made a few years ago. Try to find it if intereste

5940G-001 daily wear? Comments about the 240Q movement?

A very elegant watch especially with the raised Breguet numerals but I have noticed one thing. Perpetual calendars like the 3940,5140 and 5940 are not so legible when wearing them. Yes one can tell the time at first glance but it is more challenging to vi

5940G-001 daily wear? Comments about the 240Q movement?

to the Forum! There are many knowledgeable people here and there is much to learn. My experience with the 240 movement is excellent. I wore a 3940 for over ten years as my daily watch and it served me perfectly. My feeling is that you would not be disappo

Anyone with Patek 5140 experience? Does it wear large or small compared to its 37mm size?

If you knew the lug width and approximated the lugs, with a little time and attention you could construct a stencil out of thick paper. It will not give you thickness or depth, but will yield a decent idea of surface area. I just did this exercise for my

3940 day/night shading on the 9 o'clock 24 hour subdial

Does anyone know which 3940 generations or years did not have the shading on the 3940 24 hour subdial at 9 o’clock? I don’t like this at all and I’ve passed on several 3940’s that were otherwise mint and excellent deals because I really don’t want this sh
