Actually I didn't know that the 5110 doesn't have it, I noticed when I tried it on and I must admit that it's a nice red touch.

... but I am biased ...  

I like bottom watch, but I would ask AD which one will appreciate more over time.

But I think that's difficult to predict. I believe that the 5110 is a kind of "safer investment", not meaning that I see it as an investment at all. It's been out there for a while, it's discontinued and the price looks stable. On the other hand, the 5230... 

Here is another one where you can see the white gold hands a tad better, but still a very bad picture ...  

That's the one I'd go for unless you feel that you'd strongly prefer the 38.5mm case size size of the 5230.

I prefer the bigger case of the 38.5, but not sure whether so strongly 🤔

I've never seen the other versions in person but the G is beautiful. 37mm is a bit small to me, but I love the way it sits on my wrist, it has a very nice vintage look.

But there are other factors that make the 5110 a strong competitor! 😉

5110 is too small. 5230 has a perfect size but I will wait for the Pt version, at some point the guilloché color may change. Next Baselworld?

And I agree, I expect a new P with a different dial soon.

But the 5110's is not bad either, and I want to add a white dial "dress" watch to the collection, so not a clear winner here. IMO, the grey center makes the 5230 a bit dressier, while the 5110 looks more versatile in my book. Decisions, decisions...

1/ The 5110 is more sober. Case, dial and hands. The 5230 is more " dynamic ". 2/ The 5320 is bigger: 1, 5 mm bigger. Which can be important if your wrist is big, but, here, you can wear both without any problem, judging by your wrist shots. 3/ The guillo... 

I find extremely difficult to find a clear winner here, but the 5110 is a baby step ahead at this point 🤗

Btw, at the price point of the 5110P, the 5130G appears as a strong new contender, what makes the decision even harder.

Proportions in 5110 are the proper ones IMO. The watch is from an "era" when the case, the dial and the movement were designed to match from a technical prospective. Nowadays they design the case and size, use the movement and adapt the dial. It bothers m... 

I always check it and it's incredible how the manufacturers try to "hide" the size difference, although most of the times it's a "no go" for me.

I think it's similar price point to the 5230g

As for the metal, I would have preferred P, but I got hooked by the white dial of the G. It's nice on pictures, but in person is really captivating. And I believe that it contributes to the overall look of the watch on the wrist, making it look a fraction... 

I don't like to part with my watches, so it's good to know that I won't regret it I go for the 5110 😉

both fits great on yr the price delta? And i think some cities on 5110 are not displayed correctly due to the changes over the years .

You're right, the 5110's cities disk is not correct nowadays, but I'm not really considering it for the practicality 😉

No question... much more elegant and cohesive. The 5230 isn’t cohesive, but I also haven’t seen it in the metal.

They look very different, I would even say that they can be used for different purposes, but the 5230 is also stunning in person.

The watch is very special. The case is small for today's standards, but I love how it looks on my wrist. Even dressed casually, I love the feeling of wearing it 😊

When I was considering to buy the 5230G, my intention was to switch the original strap to a mate black one like the 5205G's (the dark dial version), with grey stitching to kind of dress the watch down a little bit. Another option was to go for a dark grey...

I 100% agree with all you said. Regarding the matching strap and outfit, it's amazing how powerful our mind is focusing our attention on something that is an insignificant detail for the majority of the people. Please, share pictures of those strap option... 

They had that 5205G in stock so I was able to see it on the watch, and it looks great! I’ll post pictures when I get them in. I’m excited! 😁

The matte black with grey stitch just looks amazing, to me. I feel like this should be the one the watch comes with. While I also ordered a grey matte alligator strap, I didn’t have them put it on because this one blew me away. ...  

To me, that's the perfect match to wear it on a daily basis. And I would reserve the shiny one to dress it up on special occasions. Enjoy it my friend!!! Btw, why not a shot with the grey strap next to it to see the difference? 😉

I agree 100%. It can easily go more casual now. It may be stretching a little, but I think it could go formal without switching to the glossy. Tbh, I don’t know how to change the deployant clasp myself, so I haven’t put the grey on. I suppose I could put ...

My wrist is not so small (neither big at all), but still love how it wears.
