I much prefer some of their older references. As for this 5235, I am not a fan at all. The dial is full of holes. But it is just my personal taste, my friend. And I totally understand that some others can be very pleased with this one. Best, Nicolas

Like you, I find the 5235 appealing (and I share your love of the 5098), but I've only been able to see the R version in person so far. Your review makes me want to see the G someday even more than before. Best, Emmanuel

I agree with you - this is not for everyone but would add a bit of flair to any larger Patek collection. I wonder how many were made given the production issues from 2011 before it actually hit the market in 2014 and how this watch will be looked upon in ...

Dealers in Patek seem only to care about production numbers as commission on a bigger number is frankly a bigger number and financial collectors are enamored with “the number of examples”. Not exactly the language of enthusiasts. But for the true enthusia... 

Your taste is correct, and not at all in error! I found that it wore a little bit big and flat on my wrist, disappointingly, because it's a fascinating watch.

when announced really caught my attention. Its design is unique and has linage to the regulator clock in Mr. P Stern's office. The brushed dial to me is amazing !
